The Tupelo Aikikai offers instruction in Iwama Style Aikido (hand to hand), Aikijo (staff) and Aikiken (sword) as taught by the late Morihiro Saito.
The Tupelo Aikikai is a satellite dojo of the Capital City Aikido in Montgomery Alabama and an affiliate of the Takemusu Aikido Association and Aikikai World Aikido Headquarters in Japan.
The Tupelo Aikikai was created to provide the opportunity for residents of North Mississippi to train in Iwama Style Aikido, as developed by the Founder, Morihei Ueshiba, and preserved by the late Morihiro Saito. The focus of training is on basic principles of Aiki movement.
The student is encouraged to focus on his own personal development through training with these three values as a guide:
